    ScoliBalance exercise therapy for scoliosis

ScoliBalance is scoliosis-specific exercise therapy based on the Schroth method. It teaches patients corrective postures and breathing techniques that work alongside bracing to help stabilize and reduce curvature. We are a certified ScoliBalance provider on Wellness Way in Lake Nona.

The Schroth method, adapted to you

The Schroth method is a scoliosis-specific exercise approach developed in Germany in the 1920s. It uses corrective postures, rotational breathing, and muscle activation to help counteract the spinal curve. ScoliBalance is built on these principles and adapted to each patient's specific curve pattern. The goal is to retrain the body's muscles and posture to support a straighter spine, both in and out of the brace.

    Designed to work alongside bracing

ScoliBalance is most effective when combined with ScoliBrace, but it can also be used as a standalone therapy for patients who are not candidates for bracing or who have finished bracing. The exercises are designed to complement the corrective forces of the brace, helping the body hold the corrected position even when the brace is off. We recommend the right combination based on your curve, age, and goals.

A home program built around your curve

Patients typically perform their corrective exercises 5-6 days per week, with sessions lasting 20-30 minutes. We build a personalized home program and adjust it as your curve responds. Consistency is key - the exercises only work if you do them. We teach you the exercises in the office, check your form at follow-up visits, and progress the program as your stability improves.

    What we do

    Corrective Posture Training

Patients learn specific postures that counteract their curve pattern, not generic exercises.

    Rotational Breathing

Schroth-based rotational breathing that helps expand the collapsed side of the rib cage.

    Bracing Integration

ScoliBalance is designed to work with ScoliBrace. The two therapies complement each other for better outcomes.

    Personalized Home Program

Patients get a personalized home program so they can continue therapy between office visits.
