How to tell if it is scoliosis
Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine that affects teens and adults. Not every curve is scoliosis, and not every scoliosis needs surgery. We help you understand what the measurements mean and which non-surgical options exist - from certified ScoliBrace and ScoliBalance providers.

Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine measuring 10 degrees or more. Surgery is not the only option - we're certified in ScoliBrace (custom 3D bracing) and ScoliBalance (scoliosis-specific exercise therapy). Non-surgical care is effective for many teens and adults, especially when the curve is moderate and caught early.

We measure the curve precisely and assess the spine in all three dimensions to determine the right course of action.
ScoliBalance is scoliosis-specific exercise therapy that works alongside bracing to stabilize the curve.

Both Dr. Berzanskis Jr. and Dr. Berzanskis Sr. are ScoliBrace and ScoliBalance certified.
We are a certified ScoliCare provider, one of very few in the Orlando area.

Our treatment rooms are equipped for full scoliosis evaluation, imaging review, and bracing consultation.
We never simply watch and wait. Every curve gets a plan, from scoliosis-specific exercise up to a custom brace, and we give you the options.

What it feels like
- Uneven shoulders or one shoulder blade more prominent
- Uneven waist or hips
- Head not centered over the pelvis
- Rib prominence when bending forward
- Back pain or fatigue after sitting or standing
How we evaluate it
We measure the curve, review any existing imaging, and assess the spine in all three dimensions. We determine the curve's severity, whether it's progressing, and whether non-surgical care is appropriate or if surgical consultation is needed. We're certified in both ScoliBrace and ScoliBalance.
